Medicinal Chemistry or Pharmaceutical chemistry which deals with the discovery, development and characterization of both pharmacological and analytical properties of drug substances. Medicinal chemists use their chemical knowledge for the synthesis of active drug substances. Medicinal chemist works on the isolation of active compounds from the sources and utilize those compounds for the discovery and development of drugs.
